Can you believe it? My front yard is filled with crocuses, and tonight it may snow! What's wrong with that picture? But then again, we go through this every year, and for some reason, Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me and helps these little plants to survive. I also saw the beginning of the hostas just pushing their way through the cold earth. What a miracle!
I'm actually taking a couple of weeks off from sewing so that I can do a little "wedding surprise" for Celeste and Derek. Can't say it out loud, just in case! I'm way ahead of myself in my sewing projects anyway. I have 45 items in my Etsy shop, the most I've ever had. Really did some power sewing these last few weeks.
Started sewing some summer handbags/purses/totes, for women and girls. Some are so darned cute I can't believe myself. Found some Hollie Hobbie fabric from the 1970's that I used to make clothes for Nicole. What a hoot! I used to have so much fun sewing for her. That's before little girls didn't complain much about what they wore. She loved everything I made.
Another project that is in the future is getting all my photos organized and into all the albums that I've started. I know I can do it, it's just a matter of getting all my stuff together and DOING IT!
Well, the wedding is less than 4 months away now, and we're starting to get down to the little tiny details, which Derek is handling quite nicely. With Celeste working part time and trying to finish up her Master's before the wedding, she's happy to have Derek do a lot of the organizing.
We had spring like weather again today, and tonight it's raining with the possibility of snow. Can you believe that? I'm so anxious for the REAL SPRING to get here.
